Brothers Josh and Hayden Odell may no longer be elementary school students. But the Lee’s Summit High School freshmen returned to Cedar Creek Elementary school this summer as they finished their Eagle Scout service projects for Boy Scouts.

Josh built a Little Free Library for his former school, while Hayden constructed two study benches and a backstop for the Cedar Creek’s baseball field. A parent volunteer had agreed to maintain the field so that students can play wiffle ball.

“We’re so proud of these boys,” Assistant Principal Melissa Hunter said. Thanks to Josh and Hayden for paying it forward!
