On Monday, Sept. 16 Lee’s Summit West High School swimmer Leo Kurucz received the McDonald’s Player of the Week award.

“I would like to nominate freshman Leo Kurucz as the athlete of the week. He has already qualified for state in three individual events and has been a huge asset to our state qualifying relays. He is coachable, always respectful and encouraging to teammates and a great leader on the team!” said Coach Jennifer Ailshire.
