Lee’s Summit at Lee’s Summit North (Friday Night Lights Tour Stop)
Coming off of a homecoming night win the Lee’s Summit Tigers are rolling into this week’s rivalry game at LS North. The Broncos also scored an impressive win last week beating LS West 21-14 on the road. The Tigers have scored 95 points in the last two weeks but expect the Broncos defense to hold the Tigers down long enough to score a win on this night.
Lee’s Summit West at Liberty – (Pub Pick of the week)
The Liberty Blue Jays prepare this week to conclude their trifecta against Lee’s Summit teams. They have beaten Lee’s Summit and lost to LS North earlier in the season. Titans are an unhappy bunch right now and will claim a victory in this one.
St. Michael at Pierce City
The Guardians return to southwest Missouri for a road game at Pierce City. St. Michael found the trip to Fair Grove earlier this season not very kind, they will see a repeat of that on this Friday night as they fall to Pierce City.
Summit Christian at Van Horn
A critical Crossroads Conference game here as SCA visits the Falcons. The 6-0 Eagles got there thanks to a 63-6 rout of Clinton last week and then Coach Todd Berck was named the KC Chiefs coach of the week. Expect a tougher time for the Eagles this week but still they remain tough enough to take down the Falcons.
Raytown at Fort Osage
The Raytown Blue Jays head out on the road to play a beat up team missing its starting quarterback. Expect the Blue Jays offense to again impress a crowd on their way to another win.
Raytown South at Grandview
Two 2-4 teams meet here itching to get closer to .500 after this match up. The home crowd will be rejoicing after this one seeing the Bulldogs surpass the visiting Cardinals on the scoreboard.
Platte County at Ray-Pec
A talented Pirates team with just one loss heads south to meet the Ray-Pec Panthers who have been enjoying a resurgent season. After this game the Panthers visit Lee’s Summit for a pair of tough road games. Knowing that expect to see Ray-Pec enjoy a come from behind win this week.
Park Hill at Blue Springs South
The home Jaguars are feeling good after having their first win on the year last week. This week the Jaguars host Park Hill who has been a defensive force all year. I suspect they will again here so Trojans all the way in a road win at BS South.
Blue Springs at Liberty North
A definite game of the week type match up here. Liberty North remains one of the few undefeated teams in Missouri after six weeks of the season. The Wildcats will push North but it’s the home team getting another victory in this series.
Houston Texans at KC Chiefs (Celebrity Forecaster, 810WHB – Todd Leabo)
The Chiefs and Texans seem to play a lot but this is the first time at Arrowhead since 2013. It’s a matchup of young quarterbacks taken just two picks apart in the 2017 NFL draft. Pat Mahomes and DeShaun Watson. KC overcomes a lot of injuries to rally in front of the home crowd and pick up a 27-24 win.
