Liberty North at Lee’s Summit (Friday Night Lights Tour Stop)
The Tigers are feeling pretty good after beating rival LS North on the road last week. They come home to play an undefeated Liberty North Eagle group who no one has an answer for. The Tigers won’t either as they come up short to the visitors.
Lee’s Summit West at Blue Springs
Two teams meet here coming off from tough losses, the Titans dropping a two overtime game last week. The Wildcats lost to undefeated Liberty North. Both teams enter at 4-3 and wish to get well. The Titans end a two-game losing streak with an impressive road win on this night.
Ray-Pec at LS North (Pub Pick of the week)
The Panthers begin a two-week visit to Lee’s Summit by playing the Broncos first on Friday, then the Titans next week. Panthers have done well in 2019 only losing to Rockhurst and Park Hill. The Broncos, after facing in city rivals the past two weeks, look to rebound here. I say stay till the last second on the clock in what will be a close contest won by Ray-Pec.
Pembroke Hill at Summit Christian (Homecoming game)
The Eagles come home after winning a Crossroads Conference championship and face the Raiders who come in at 6-1. Summit Christian is celebrating Homecoming Night and the Eagles will celebrate another victory when this one is over.
Center at St. Michael (Game at LS West)
In a game being played at the home of the LSW Titans the Guardians have the tough task of facing Center who has only lost one game so far in 2019. Expect a good game but the visiting Yellowjackets will win in the end.
Blue Springs South at Park Hill South
The Jaguars keep getting better and better and threw a major scare into Park Hill last week to prove it. This week the Jags will do well for a while but end up falling on the road to the Panthers.
Raytown at Belton
Raytown was upset last week vs Fort Osage, now look to get well again by visiting winless Belton. The Blue Jays offense will shine once again this week in a win over the Pirates.
Raytown South at Kearney
The Cardinals head north to meet an angry bunch of Bulldogs who lost a tough one last week to Grain Valley. Kearney returns to the victory column as they dash the Cardinals hope for an upset win.
Benedictine at Evangel (HAAC Game of the week)
A good game to showcase the conference as #5 Benedictine visits #16 ranked Evangel. The Ravens may be the team traveling to play this game but they also will be the team winning a close game.
Fort Hays State at Pitt State (MIAA Game of the week)
Two Kansas based schools meet up in this contest that is worth watching for any football fan. The Tigers got the better of the Gorillas last year but this time while at home it’s the Gorillas who will come away feeling happy.
