Hummingbird Vista, an English Cotswold-style home available on Airbnb, is ready to welcome guests after a complete modern renovation at historic Unity Village near Lee’s Summit.
The home, which can accommodate up to 12 guests, is the second standalone Airbnb rental at Unity Village. The space is perfect for retreats, reunions, family vacations, and more. Both houses can be rented simultaneously.
Sports fans also love Hummingbird Vista—it’s already been reserved for groups attending events at the nearby Truman Sports Complex, located only 20 minutes away.
The home retains much of its early 1930s’ charm but has been given a modern and luxurious renovation for guests attending events at Unity Village or guests who are looking for a unique getaway in the Kansas City area.
Featuring four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a large living area, and a deck, it is ideal for both small and large groups and for longer stays. The home also includes a wet bar, fireplace, and views of the golf course and beautiful Unity Village grounds. Essential items like linens, toiletries, cable and internet access, and kitchenware are provided.
A perk that most Airbnbs don’t offer? Guests receive complimentary hot breakfast each morning at the hotel, along with free parking and access to gardens, chapels, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Brandi French, manager of Unity Village Hotel and Conference Center, is excited about the new Airbnb offering because it has a different style.
“Our first Airbnb, Fillmore Manor, has been hugely popular. We’re so excited to introduce guests to this new property with a different look,” she said.
“It’s a full house of fabulous,” said Bobby Kyser, vice president of hospitality, of the renovated and newly decoracted home. He says the open concept floor plan, large deck, and beautiful views make it a truly happy place to stay.
Hummingbird Vista also offers guests a chance to explore the rest of the stunning Unity Village campus, including a nine-hole golf course, 2.4-mile walking trail, and bookstore and coffee shop. The 100-year-old Unity Village boasts 1,200 wooded acres, the largest fountain display in the Kanas City metro, an award-winning rose garden, and two buildings that are included on the National Register of Historic Places. The wide-open spaces and distinctive Mediterranean architecture create a tranquil atmosphere that is unmatched in the area.
