Lee’s Summit at Rockhurst (Friday Night Lights Tour Stop)
The Lee’s Summit Tigers ended the regular season on a high note and now hit the road to open post-season play at perennial power Rockhurst. The Hawklets are playing to give retiring coach Tony Severino one last title in his career. The Tigers will give it a great shot but in the end come up short to the hosts thanks to a crazy play.
Lee’s Summit North at Ray-Pec (Pub Pick of the week)
Just two weeks ago these two teams met at LS North with the Panthers coming away with a win. The Broncos will go on the road to try and turn the script in a district playoff game. Broncos are running the ball well now thanks to Keyon Mozee who just had 309 yards last week. The Broncos take this one.
Lee’s Summit West at Liberty North
The LS West Titans get their chance to play Liberty North who has already beaten Lee’s Summit and LS North this season. The Titans will play it close but the undefeated Eagles playing at home will get win #10.
Lone Jack at Summit Christian
Summit Christian for the first time all year are coming into a game off from a loss. Expect the 8-1 SCA Eagles to shake that loss off as they open up playoff action with a healthy win against Lone Jack.
Raytown South at Grain Valley
The Cardinals just lost last week to Grain Valley 37-0, now get a rematch a week later in the playoffs. Ray South will play better and keep the game closer this time but in the end it’s the Eagles winning this one.
Raytown – Bye (Host William Chrisman on 11/08)
Raytown Blue Jays finish the regular season at 7-2. Now the Class 5 team will enjoy a week off before hosting the William Chrisman Bears next Friday night.
St. Michael at Southern Boone
The Guardians enter post-season play feeling good after a win last week to improve to 3-6. St. Michael won’t be bothered by this long road trip as they have made several already in 2019. When it’s over the Guardians return home after a season ending loss.
Columbia Rock Bridge at Blue Springs
The Wildcats didn’t score a point last week but this week return home and look to get well against the Bruins. Blue Springs will play with pride and play well enough to take this one and play again next week.
Blue Springs South at Holt
The Jaguars have had a tough first season under a first year head coach but the last 4 games of the season has showed plenty of progress. Expect the Jags to keep it close and play tough but Holt walks away with a win on this night.
Minnesota Vikings at Kansas City Chiefs (Celebrity Forecaster, Former LS West Head Coach Royce Boehm)
Last week the Chiefs lost their third straight home game to the Packers. This week the Chiefs welcome the Vikings to town. It looks like Matt Moore will get the start again at QB. On defense the Chiefs are down three or four starters but will need to step it up this week against Minnesota running game. Final Score – Chiefs 24, Vikings 14.
