August 24, 1957 ~ November 23, 2019

Timothy Kevin Smith, 62, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed November 23, 2019 at his home. He was born to Walter Richard and Catherine Louise Smith on August 24, 1957 in Sedalia, MO. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mabel Brown and Ira and Daisy Smith; his aunts and uncles, Bill and Martha Deck, Kenneth and Morna Smith, and Bud Brown.

He leaves his parents; his brothers, Steve and Roger; a sister in-law, Debra; nieces, Hanna and Stephanie and her husband, Sirish; nephews, Benjamin and Henry; and a great niece Scarlett; along with a host of loving cousins and Aunt Marjorie.

Tim was baptized Sunday, January 31, 1971 at the Lee’s Summit Christian Church.

He graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1976, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. Tim was a gentles soul and his foundation was his love of family. He enjoyed doing genealogy research, the outdoors, gardening, and traveling to many state and national parks. He shelled Florida beaches and especially liked Sanibel.

Tim also admired Terry Redlin art. A favorite getaway was #9 at Lake of the Ozarks. His favorite snack was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and he loved the Beatles.

Tim generously gave his time to the Community Services League. To honor Tim, the family would appreciate donations to The Community Services League of Independence, 404 North Noland Rd, Independence, MO 64050.

    The Boyd family was so saddened to learn of Tim’s passing. We so enjoyed visiting with Tim at the Lake. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. God Bless him. Keith and Mary Boyd and family.
