In just the team’s first 13 games of the season Kansas City Mavericks have grown to enjoy the play of rookie forward Bryan Lemos. Whenever he is on the ice Lemos is always in the middle of the action.

A recent example of that happened just last Saturday in a 10-1 win for the Mavericks over first place Rapid City. Lemos scored the third goal of the game on a rebound proving the rookie was in the right spot at the right time. Lemo as his new teammates call him loves to support the NHL’s Boston Bruins and NFL’s New England Patriots. The reason for this is due to Bryan being from East Providence Rhode Island. Back home his mom, dad, an older sister and a granddad all root him on from home.

Bryan’s favorite hockey memory so far was playing in the 2018 NCAA Frozen Four where he got to play at the home of the Buffalo Sabres. Lemo first put on a pair of skates at the age of three. Bryan’s favorite website to visit daily is Netflix.

If not in pro hockey today he would be working somewhere in the finance field. Lemo was a business major while in college. Bryan’s favorite foods are steak and potatoes. Following his playing days Lemo, wishes to be remembered as a “great teammate, someone who enjoyed being around the rink.” Bryan was a college roommate of current Mavericks goaltender Hayden Hawkey and they are best friends. Lemo feels it’s “awesome we both came out here.” Hawkey and Lemos played together at Providence College.

Check out Lemos and the rest of the Mavericks when they begin the month of December with a home game against rival Wichita Thunder on Friday, Dec, 06. The fun inside the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena begins when the puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
