The holidays are over and the presents have been put away which is a good thing since the Kansas City Mavericks are kicking off 2020 with the team’s longest road trip of the season. The team will play six games against four different teams in just 14 days.

Facing a daunting task such as this road trip a team could use some extra AMO and that’s what the Mavs have from new defenseman Terrance Amorosa. AMO, as he is called by his new teammates, has been a productive player this season. Despite playing the defenseman position Terrance has seen his name on the scoring sheet multiple times.

The second year pro is familiar with the ECHL having spent a portion of last season with the Tulsa Oilers. AMO’s favorite pro sports team is the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens, this largely due to him growing up in the Montreal area.

Back home in Montreal rooting Terrance on is his mom, dad and two older sisters. Many times the family watch his games on ECHL.TV. AMO’s favorite hockey memory so far occurred in his senior year at Clarkson University when his team made the NCAA tournament. Terrance first put on a pair of skates at age five.

Amo’s favorite website to visit daily is YouTube. If not in pro hockey today Terrance would be a financial advisor or something similar. He was a finance major in college. Amo’s favorite sports movie is “Remember the Titans.” Following his playing days Terrance wishes to be remembered as a great teammate, unselfish and battled every game.

Now that 2020 is here AMO like everyone has goals for the year. AMO looks forward to traveling more after the 2019-20 season is over. Terrance admits he enjoys going on adventures.

AMO and the KC Mavericks are currently in the midst of their longest road trip of the 2019-20 season. The Mavs will be going to nearby places like Wichita and Tulsa, and as far away as Newfoundland. Keep up on the Mavericks trip online at Lee’s Summit Tribune’s Facebook page.
