The University of Central Missouri is joining forces with MindEdge to offer three free online courses focusing on creativity and innovation. The free classes are provided to help individuals during this time of global pandemic and social distancing. They are open to current UCM students as well as other adult learners interested in enrolling in the free courses. MindEdge, a national company specializing in higher education and professional development content, has partnered with UCM for several years to offer quality online courses.

All offerings are short-term continuing education courses that can be completed online by visiting the Additional Online Course Providers page, under the Workforce and Profesional Education tab, under the Academics tab at ucmo.edu. The courses range from three to seven contact hours. The free courses, which are open enrollment and self-paced, are listed below.

Creativity in Teams and Organizations, five contact hours

Introduction to Critical Thinking, seven contact hours

Personal Creativity, three contact hours.

The University of Central Missouri paused classes through March 30 due to the pandemic with all courses going online on this date. Summer session courses will also be offered online with summer enrollment now open. UCM Workforce and Professional Education is recognized for its variety of face-to-face, online and hybrid courses designed to help adults launch a new career, expand existing skills and explore fields. To learn more about the university’s professional education courses and in-demand career certificate programs, visit the Workforce and Professional Education page, under the Academics tab at ucmo.edu. Online courses are in areas such as healthcare, information technology, business and manufacturing.
