Lee’s Summit R-7 School District’s Summer Swim League is a recreational swimming program designed for new to moderate swimmers who want to develop swim skills and compete. The Summer Swim League focuses on technique progression, stroke development, swimmer-lane etiquette, and competition essentials for turns, starts, and finishes.

Summer Swim League’s goals are to develop fundamentally sound swimmers along with a competent swimming foundation in the mastery of all four competitive strokes. The program enables swimmers to advance their swimming abilities, improve skill proficiency, and reach obtainable goals, providing swimmers with positive, well-rounded swimming experience.

Swimmers must have been 6-18 years old on June 1, 2020.

All swimmers must be able to do both freestyle (front crawl) and backstroke (back crawl) for at least 25 yards. Knowledge of breaststroke and butterfly is not required, but it is strongly recommended.

Enrollment is open until Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

Late registration is Wednesday, June 24, to Tuesday, June 30 ($15 late fee per swimmer).

Registrations will not be accepted after Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

One swimmer: $190*
Two swimmers: $340*
Three swimmers: $490*
*Families will receive a $40 refund or credit for volunteering to help during two swim meets.

There are no refunds. If a swimmer is unable to participate in the season for any reason outside of a medical issue, prorated credit is provided for future LSR7 Aquatic Center use. Please see the registration form for refund details. This refund policy does not include the volunteer reimbursement (see volunteer section below).

We ask families to help out by volunteering because swim meets cannot happen without volunteers. Approximately 30 volunteers are required to run an efficient, effective swim meet. Volunteers will receive a $40 refund for volunteering for at least two swim meets (credit is per household, not per swimmer). Coaches will share the link to sign up each week before the meet. Contact the Aquatic Center with any questions, (816) 986-1465.
