Do you enjoy civil war history? Do you enjoy family history? If you are a direct lineal female descendant of a Union Veteran of the Civil War consider jointing Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War.

This non-for-profit organization seeks to keep alive the history of those who struggled to preserve our Union. Historical preservation, education, patriotism, volunteering on behalf of veterans and the community are just part of our overall mission objectives. Louisa Macklind Tent #24 serves the Kansas City metro area. Louisa Macklind was the first female U. S. Military Telegraph Corp operator west of the Mississippi.
