Update on Homicide in the 12300 block of E. US 40 Hwy on 07/27/20.

The deceased victim in this case has been identified as SirJohn R. Harris, a 17 year old black male from Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

The second injured subject was released from the hospital and has been taken into police custody.

Additional information is expected to be released when information on criminal charges becomes available.

IPD officers responded to a shooting in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 12300 block of E. US 40 Hwy at approximately 1:09 AM today (07/27/20)

Two subjects had been shot. One subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other is in stable but serious condition. This is still an active investigation. Additional information will be released when it becomes available.
