Students from Lee’s Summit North and Lee’s Summit West high schools earned honors at the state and national levels of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) business competition.

Joe Harris and Alton Simpkins from LSW earned top honors at the virtual national competition, placing second in the nation for Global Business.

The FBLA program prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society.

Grant Coleman, Alex Johnston and Alton Simpkins, sixth place in the state for Banking & Financial Systems, Coleman and Johnston competed at nationals

Tucker Knipp, eighth place in the state for Insurance & Risk Management
