Lee’s Summit West at Lee’s Summit North (Friday Night Lights Tour Stop)
Both teams are coming off from disappointing losses last week. LS North lost on the road while LS West fell at home. A regular season finale along with a rivalry game puts even more emphasis on getting a win. After a tough four quarters of football it will be the Titans who come away victorious.
Lee’s Summit at Staley (Jake’s Take)
Lee’s Summit is coming off back to back tough losses, losing to Raytown and Park Hill South by a combined eight points. Staley enters the contest on a bit of a roll winning their last two scores of 45-6 and 48-0. I find it hard to pick the hometown Tigers with these trends, because of that, I’m picking Staley 34-28.
Lathrop at St. Michael’s (played at LS West)
After Clever dropped out of playing this week the Guardians welcome the 2-5 Mules to Lee’s Summit. Lathrop has been good for a while so this current mark shows the team’s struggles in 2020. St. Michael’s ended a three-game winning streak with a road loss in Kansas last week. This one turns out better with a Guardians win.
KC Central at Summit Christian
The Eagles host the Blue Eagles on Senior Night at SCA. Last week Summit Christian came up a TD short against an undefeated team on the road. The 5-3 Eagles will find visiting Central at 2-6 not as tough with a win on this night.
Park Hill at Ray-Pec
Just ask anyone in Lee’s Summit how good Park Hill is after they beat both LS North and the LS Tigers and took LS West to OT. The Panthers come in off from an impressive win on the road and it came against undefeated Liberty. Don’t expect a Panther let down as they cruise to another win.
Blue Springs South at Liberty North
The Jaguars make the trip up north after losing their rivalry game vs Blue Springs last week. The 1-7 Jags will have trouble containing the weapons the 5-2 Eagles have as they win again.
Raytown at Truman
The Raytown Blue Jays after beating undefeated Grain Valley at home a week ago hits the road to visit the winless Patriots. Expect the Blue Jays to enjoy a fun Friday night as they pick up another win.
Ruskin at Raytown South
Two teams struggling through the 2020 season meet up on this night looking to close the regular season with a victory. The Cardinals are at home and will get their wish as they claim to win thanks to getting the better of the visiting Golden Eagles.
Rockhurst at Blue Springs
Two teams that know each other well as Rockhurst is now coached by Kelly Donohoe the longtime leader of the Wildcats for the past 20 years. Blue Springs is at home and coming in off from a big win over their rival BS South. Rockhurst will prove to be tough and take a win on the road in this one.
