Statement from Evergy about the outages today.
Around 7:15 a.m., an outage occurred in Lee’s Summit affecting about 9,700 customers. The outage occurred while crews were performing maintenance. Customers were restored around 7:45 a.m.
Another outage occurred around 11 a.m., affecting about 8,100 customers in the Lee’s Summit area. Customers were restored in phases shown below, with all customers restored around 1:45 p.m. This outage was caused by equipment failure.
- 12:15 p.m. – about 1,200 customers restored
- 12:30 p.m. – about 1,150 customers restored
- 1:20 p.m. – about 4,500 customers restored
- 1:30 p.m. – about 1,200 customers restored
- 1:45 p.m. – remaining customers restored
