Catherine (“Cathy,” “Cat”) J. Lewis, 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in Lee’s Summit, MO.  Cathy was born on August 25, 1953, in Ames, IA, to Donald (“Don”) Heithoff and Eva (“Eve”) Johnston Heithoff, both who proceed her in death.

Cathy was a 1972 graduate of Perry Community High School.  She married Ronald (“Ron”) Lewis on August 11, 1972 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Perry, IA.  Her career as a Cosmetologist spanned over 40 years and she worked in both Perry, IA and Lee’s Summit, MO.  Cathy enjoyed visiting with friends and clients, spending time with her family, and decorating her home.  She had a great sense of humor and appreciated a good laugh.  She loved being a Pet Grandmother to 3 dogs and 3 cats owned by her daughter, Ainslie Lewis Pompey, and son-in-law, Danny Pompey.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Ron, of Lee’s Summit, MO; her daughter, Ariana Lewis, of Leawood, KS; and, her daughter, Ainslie, and son-in-law, Danny, of Lenexa, KS.  She is survived by her siblings John Heithoff (Kelly) of Texas; Donna Heithoff Ruggle (Jim) of Wisconsin; and Donald (“Donnie”) Heithoff (Karen) of Alabama.
