June 24, 1919 ~ January 30, 2021

Edna Pauline Wilder, 101 years of age, passed away on January 30, 2021, in Lee’s Summit, MO. Enda as born on June 24, 1919 in Bates City, MO.

She attended William Chrisman High School and graduated from Graceland College, where she met and married Paul Fraccascia. They had two sons, Paul and Tom. Edna was widowed at a young age and supported her young family by operating her small company Safety First Aid.

Edna then landed a job with Braniff Airlines, where she met Allen Wilder, who she married. Another son, Barry soon joined the growing family.

In 1974 Allen, Edna and Barry moved to Clinton, Missouri, where Allen founded Wilder RVs. Over 30+ years, Wilder RVs became the nation’s #1 Carriage RV dealer and one of the Midwest’s most respected RV dealers. The dealership sold in 2008 but still operates under its original name.

Edna would lose Allen in 2002 and later moved to Lee’s Summit, where she enjoyed social activities, friends, and family at John Knox Village and later at Solstice Senior Living Center. Edna was also an active member and ordained Elder in the Community of Christ Church.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Jennie Pearl Ford; her two brothers Edmund and Paul; her first husband, Paul Fraccascia; her second husband, Allen Wilder; and her son Tom Fraccascia.

She is survived by her sons Paul Fraccascia and wife Susan, Barry Wilder and wife Terri, and her daughter-in-law, Lana Fraccascia; along with seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for family will take place at 1:30 PM, Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd St., Lee’s Summit, MO 64063 with a visitation starting at 12:30 PM. A graveside service will follow at Mound Grove Cemetery, Independence, MO.
