January 28, 1948 ~ February 12, 2021

During the early morning hours of Friday, February 12, 2021, Roy Earnest Elam, passed away at the age of 73.

Roy was born on January 28, 1948 in Bloomington, IL to Elizabeth and Jack Elam.

He served in the United States Air Force for 13 years during the Vietnam War as a Hydraulic Mechanic. Upon retirement from the Air Force, Roy worked as a Diesel Mechanic and started his own business,
Rapid Roy’s Road Service. He enjoyed trains, cooking, and good conversation. He was a friend to everyone he met.

Roy is survived by his wife Sharon and their four children, Ryan Elam, Wendy Kalwei, Kimberly Steele, and David York; his two children, Katie Elam, and Kevin Elam from his second wife; his daughter Vivian from his first wife; 14 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He has been preceded in death by one grandchild.
No funeral services will be held.
