Lee Summit Tigers boys soccer team resumed play in the 2023 season on Tuesday, Oct. 10 by hosting rival Lee Summit North. The Tigers took a 2-0 lead in the first half en route to a 5-2 victory. The win improved the Tigers mark to 5-7 on the season. The visiting Broncos fell to 3-13-1.
Inside the LSHS Fieldhouse on October 10 the Lee’s Summit Tigers volleyball team played host to conference foe Staley and held Senior Night activities. The Tigers defeated Staley 3-2 to improve to 8-11. Lee’s Summit is the number six seed in the upcoming Class 5, District 7 tournament that begins on Thursday, Oct.19 with a match against Ray-Pec at 6 p.m.
St. Michael’s boys soccer team’s first loss of the season came against Summit Christian. The Guardians and Eagles met again at SCA on Monday, Oct. 9. This time the Guardians came away with a 4-2 win and improved to 14-2 on the season.
St. Michael’s volleyball team made the short trip over to Summit Christian on Monday, Oct. 9. The Guardians swept the Eagles 3-0 to take the match. The Guardians are now 20-5 on the season. The Eagles fell to 17-6-2.
LS North Broncos volleyball team played host to Park Hill South on Tuesday, Oct. 10. The Broncos beat Park Hill South 3-1 and improved to 11-18 on the season. The Broncos are the number five seed in the upcoming Class 5, District 7 tourney. LS North is serving as the host site for the semifinal round and finals.
LS North Broncos softball team was given the number six seed in the Class 5 District 7 tourney and open play against number three seed and rival LS West. The game will be played at the host site in Joplin, Mo. The Broncos/Titans winner advance to play the winner of Neosho/Lee’s Summit.
LS West Titans volleyball team hit the road on Tuesday, Oct. 10 to visit Liberty North. The Titans came up short 3-1 to the Eagles. Titans are now 21-8 on the season.
The Titans remained on the road to play at Blue Springs South on Thursday, Oct. 12. Titans will host Senior Night activities on Monday, Oct. 16.
The Summit Christian Eagles volleyball team is the number three seed team in the upcoming Class 2, District 13 tourney that starts on Wednesday, Oct. 18. Holden is serving as the host site.
The post season for the St. Michaels Guardians volleyball team begins at Pembroke Hill where the Class 4, District 7 tourney will be played. The Guardians are the top seeded team and will take the court on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. The opponent will be the Grandview/Raytown South winner.
