Lee’s Summit Tigers boys cross country team finished sixth at the state meet held in Columbia, MO on Saturday, Nov. 4. This was the Tigers first trip as a team to the event since 2004.

St. Michael’s girls cross country finished in sixth place at the state meet with Elsa Henry the top individual finisher in fourth place.

St. Michael’s boys cross country team finished two points better than second place El Dorado to win the first state championship in school history.

The Summit Christian boys soccer team finished the regular season ranked third in the Class 2 state wide rankings. The Eagles season ended in a district semifinal loss to Barstow in penalty kicks.

Monday, Nov. 6 saw the first practice of the new season for boys wrestling and girls swimming across the Show-Me State.

The preparation for the 2023-24 basketball season will turn up a notch at Lee’s Summit High School on Monday, Nov. 13 with a four-team jamboree. The host Tigers along with St. Michael’s, Pembroke Hill and St. Pius X will all participate in the event.

LS West held a signing ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 8 where eight Titans signed with the college of their choice. Five different sports was represented at the ceremony.

St. Michael’s head football coach Andrew Pitts was named the Missouri Head Football Coach of the Week by PrepsKC and the Kansas City Chiefs. Pitts has led the Guardians to a 9-2 record so far this season.

LS North boys soccer team received good news on Wednesday when the All-District honors were handed out. Senior Zach Paul was named First Team-All District, senior Grant Enyeart named Second Team-All District.
