Summit Christian girls basketball opened play in the Eagle Invitational on Monday, Nov. 27 against Paseo. The Eagles won 48-11. The Eagles returned to action on Wednesday night to play a second round game against Harrisonville. The entire Eagles Invite was played at the SCA Fieldhouse this week.

The week long Winnetonka Invite tipped off on Monday night with four games. The Lee’s Summit Tigers played in the third game of the day. The Tigers beat host Winnetonka in an opening round game 62-53. Tigers played Park Hill in a second round contest on Wednesday night. All final round games were played on Friday, Dec. 1.

The Eagle Classic hosted by Summit Christian found the Eagles boys basketball team in action this week. First up was a Tuesday, Nov. 28 game against DeLaSalle Charter. The Eagles won handily by a 93-31 count. The host Eagles played Harrisonville in a semifinal round game on Thursday, Nov. 30.

St. Michael’s head football coach Anthony Pitts was named Crossroads Conference Coach of the Year. The Guardians QB Cam Zaun was named the Conference Offensive Player of the Year. A total of 11 Guardians were given All Crossroads Conference honors.

Wrestling season got underway for Lee’s Summit girls and boys wrestling teams on Wednesday, Nov. 29. The Tigers competed in a dual held at Belton High School where Olathe West and Pleasant Hill completed the four team event.

Lee’s Summit North Broncos girls basketball topped Liberty 56-47 on Monday, Nov. 27. The win improved the Broncos season mark to 3-0. Broncos are led by first year head coach Elyseia Dunn.

Lee’s Summit West Titans girls basketball team tipped off their 2023-24 season in the Winnetonka Invite. The Titans opened play on Tuesday, Nov. 28 when they fell to North Kansas City 41-34. Titans returned to the court the very next night to play Belton. The Titans outlasted the Pirates in a 45-43 victory. The Titans third and final game in the tourney was played on Friday afternoon.

St. Michael’s girls basketball team improved their season record to 2-0 with a 48-9 victory over Adrian on Tuesday, Nov. 28. The Guardians went back to work on Wednesday night with a non-conference road game at Notre Dame De Sion.

Lee’s Summit North Broncos girls and boys wrestling teams took to the mat on Wednesday, Nov. 29 when they opened the 2023-24 season with a dual at Blue Springs High School.
