The Lee’s Summit North Broncos football program will once again be on a national stage at the annual Under Armour All-American Game. Being selected to play in the 2024 game is LS North defensive end Williams Nwaneri.

Nwaneri was part of a ceremony at the LSN Fieldhouse on Wednesday, Dec. 13 in front of family, teammates, friends and plenty of Broncos fans. Williams was presented with his All-American jersey. Many fellow LS North students were in attendance thanks to the jersey presentation scheduled during what is called Bronco time. Bronco time is a time set aside allowing students to be outside of class.

One of the people on hand to speak about Nwaneri was LS North head football coach Jamar Mozee. Mozee, on this latest honor for the talented senior, “had a great last two years for us, is very deserving.” Some of the qualities that stood out to get Nwaneri the honor are his “size, height and length, a unique kid.” For the Lee’s Summit North football program this is the second year in a row a Bronco has been honored. Mozee comments that fact “Cayden Green last year, it’s neat, a real cool time in our program.” Mozee feels “it’s a real honor” to have the Broncos represented on a national stage.

Williams will be heading to Orlando, Florida in the coming days to prepare for the game. The All-American game is set for Wednesday, Jan. 3 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. The all-star game kickoff is at 4 p.m. Central time. Television coverage will be available via stream on Fubo.tv and on the CW television network, KCWE-TV29 locally. This is the 15th annual all American game and is part of Under Armour Next All-America week activities.
