“Gary” James Rooks, 77, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away surrounded by his wife, Mary Summers Rooks, daughter, Julia Ngega and son-in-law, Luke Frogge, under the loving care of the staff of the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, Missouri on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. Gary was born on Sunday, April 6, 1947 to James Willis and Ruby L. Crain in Kansas City Missouri.

A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Oakwood Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m.
