Janet Marie Puskarich, 65, of Pleasant Hill, formerly of Lee’s Summit, was born October 16, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Elmer L. and Betty J. (Breedlove) Tudor.  She departed this life Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at her home.

On November 4, 1977, she was united in marriage to Christpher J. Puskarich in Lee’s Summit.  He preceded her in death just six weeks earlier on December 2, 2024.

Janet was employed as a bus driver for the Lee’s Summit R-VII school district where she also worked in the high school lunchroom.  Following retirement, she worked for Price Chopper in Pleasant Hill. She also worked for the Cass County Election Board.  She was an avid reader, especially anything written by Stephen King, and loved animals, especially her German Shepherds, Zowie and Zima.

She was also preceded in death by her father; one sister, Marcella Darst; and one son, Bryan Puskarich on April 28, 2007.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bridget and Kyle Hefele of O’Fallon, Missouri; three grandchildren, William (and Brianna) Stanley, Caitlyn Rogers, and Morgan Stanley; one great grandson, Kia Stanley; her mother, Betty Tudor of Lee’s Summit; siblings, Bartley (and Terri) Tudor and Sarah (and Kevin) Rosin, all of Lee’s Summit; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded.  No services are scheduled at this time.
