January Board of Education Recap
The Lee’s Summit R-7 Board of Education met for its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, January 17, 2019. At the meeting, Underwood Elementary highlighted their students and school culture and sang their school song.
The Superintendent’s Report is included here. It includes the Board priorities update.
Additionally, the Board approved items for decision in consent, including grant information. Other items for decision included the 2017-2018 audit and Chromebook replacement. Written reports included the Partners in Education program evaluation, Library Media Services program evaluation, Transportation program evaluation and the Facilities and Maintenance Project Update.

Board of Education Statement
Additionally, the Board of Education would like to issue the following statement:
“The Board has voted to enter into negotiations with Dr. Dennis Carpenter for an extension of his contract. The Board hopes to complete an agreement with Dr. Carpenter in the near future.”
