For the first time since 2015 the Kansas City Royals have recorded a winning season standing at 82-68 as the team began their final home stand of the season. The Royals finished 95-67 in 2015 which was the team’s last winning season and trip to the post-season. The 2024 Royals are looking to complete both tasks by nailing down a playoff berth over the final 10 games of the season.

The final homestand of the season finds the Royals hosting AL Central rival Detroit in a three-game series following by three more against National League foe San Francisco Giants. The Royals entered the homestand at 45-32 the third best mark in the American League. Having a winning mark at home and on the season has Royals fans of all ages pretty excited about what has happened and what could be next for the team.

Dan White of Kansas City, MO has plenty of thoughts on a possible post-season berth saying, “My concern is we won’t have any home games.” The playoffs to White is “Anything is a bonus.” On a winning regular season White says he is “thrilled, exceeded every expectation we had.”

For fans like White the Royals announced during the week about how they can find their way to a 2024 post-season game. The best way for fans to accomplish this goal is to make a deposit on 2025 season tickets. Another way is for fans to visit the team’s website to enter their name/E-address to be registered for post-season tickets. Should the Royals get a home game during the post-season a number of registered fans will have access to a limited number of playoff tickets.

The Royals have some work to do first before the post-season begins on Tuesday, Oct. 1. As of press time the Royals were trailing the AL Central Division leading Cleveland Guardians by five games and holding onto the second Wild Card slot by a 1.5 game margin. When the home stand ends on Sunday, Sept. 22 the Royals will head out on the road for the final six games of the regular season.

Throughout 2024 the Royals have provided their fans with fun moments that has resulted in a 32 game improvement from the 2023 season. Royals fans are ready to see another fun moment one that will result in their favorite team scoring a playoff berth.
