KCP&L: Kansas City Power & Light wants you to know they will not threaten immediate disconnection via phone or email. They will not ask you to pay via a prepaid debit card.

If you ever receive a suspicious call demanding you to use a prepaid debit card, it could be a scam. If you are facing disconnection, you will be contacted multiple times before your day of disconnection.
