On Sunday morning, April 7, 2019, at about 10:37 a.m., Raytown Police received a call to a residence in the 7200 block of Woodson, regarding a disturbance with an armed person involved. Police then received calls reporting shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found that one adult male had been shot by someone known to him. Initial information was that the disturbance turned into a fight, which escalated to a shooting. The suspect, an adult male, was located and taken into custody. The victim was transported to an area hospital via ambulance. He is in serious condition.
