USA BMX hosted the Mid-America Nationals at Raytown BMX over the July 14-16 weekend. This was a three day event where racers battled for national points and recognition.

One rider who stood out amongst the others was Jasper Kennedy. Jasper “Captain” Kennedy, riding for Bicycle Shack BMX, dominated all three days placing first in the 14 expert class. He came in determined to obtain his first national win. Doing so, Kennedy now sits NAG (national age group) 14th overall in the series standings.

Jasper Kennedy’s team Bicycle Shack, a Lee’s Summit locally owned and operated bicycle shop team, took top honors Saturday and second Sunday. Beating numerous nationally ranked teams.
