On the third Tuesday of every month, Lee’s Summit CARES assists with creating a Community Conversation with experts in various topic areas. This month the conversation will take place on June 20 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mid-Continent Public Library and will be free to attend.
The topic of discussion is Silencing Stigma: Improving Parent-Teen Dialogue on Mental Health – Dialogue between parents and teens about mental health can feel daunting, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Join us for an open and practical discussion about how parents can remove mental health stigma and foster a safe and welcoming environment for teens to talk about some of life’s most challenging topics.
