Lee’s Summit, Mo.— On Friday, December 13th, 2019 at approximately 12:50 p.m. emergency crews were dispatched to the southbound lanes of M-291 Highway at Scherer Road on the report of a two vehicle crash.
The initial investigation indicates that a motorcyclist was traveling south on 291 Highway and collided with a mid-size SUV that was attempting to cross the highway traveling east.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene; the driver of the SUV was not injured.
