Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation, along with the City of Lee’s Summit, announce the annual Independence Day-themed fireworks event, Legacy Blast, on Monday, July 3, at Legacy Park.

Choreographed music will accompany the fireworks display, which will be simulcast on 94.9 KCMO. There will be concessions, food trucks, and DJs at the baseball, soccer, softball, and football venues. Children under the age of 12 can enjoy balloon artists, inflatables, and glitter tattoo artists.

Joe Snook, Administrator for Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation, shared, “We hope you can join us as we celebrate the birth of our great nation. Legacy Blast is a wonderful community event that culminates with a fantastic fireworks display.”

Gates for the event will open at 6 p.m. and close at 9:15 p.m. before the fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. The 5th of July will be the rain-out date.
