“We are proud to honor multi-generational families this year. The 2024 Legends have influenced this area and Lee’s Summit for nearly 200 years, beginning in the 1830s,” Lee’s Summit Museum Board Member John Wisniewski said.

All Legend honorees will be publicly announced on the front steps of the Lee’s Summit History Museum (220 SW Main in Historic Downtown Lee’s Summit) at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15. The public is also encouraged to attend and congratulate the Legends.

The Legends will also be honored at the Second Annual Legends of Lee’s Summit Gala, May 16, 2024, at the Longview Mansion. Tickets and sponsorship details are available at www.leessummitmuseum.com.

“This is a unique opportunity to publicly recognize and honor individuals and families who have and continue to impact the community of Lee’s Summit’s past, present and future,” Wisniewski said.
