Raytown MO- The Office of Jean Peters Baker, Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney, has charged Ryan M. Templeton, a 38-year-old Harrisonville, Missouri man with Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, D-Felony, and Resisting Arrest/Detention/Stop by Fleeing-Creating a Substantial Risk of Serious Injury/Death, E-Felony.
The charges stem from a pursuit Tuesday night, September 3, 2019, in which Templeton fled from Raytown Police in a stolen truck.
When Templeton encountered traffic congestion at the construction zone near the interchange ramp from southbound Interstate 435 to westbound Interstate 435, he struck five vehicles in an apparent attempt to drive around them.
He then attempted to drive up an embankment, but could not. He was taken into custody at that time. No injuries were reported.
