MAR Building Solutions celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters in February. Community leaders, business partners, friends and family gathered to tour the new facility and check out new equipment. MAR Building Solutions is a Butler Building dealership, which specializes in metal building construction and interior finish. Owner Chad Anderson built the new building near SE Hamblen Road and SE Bailey Road after his original location underwent eminent domain.
“He could have went anywhere,” said Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council President Rick McDowell. “But he chose to stay here and build here and provide quality jobs to others. And we are grateful he did.”
Anderson, a lifelong resident of Lee’s Summit, also used the occasion to help his hometown. Anderson asked attendees to bring donations for Lee’s Summit Social Services and they delivered by donating more than 180 pounds of food and $650 for the non-profit.
Director of Lee’s Summit Social Services, Matt Sanning said he appreciates Anderson using the celebration to give back.
“It’s just who he is,” said Sanning. “MAR Building Solutions has been a great supporter for a very long time. It’s exactly the type of business we like to see in Lee’s Summit because we are a community that cares.”
Anderson also owns property adjacent to his new headquarters. He plans to use that land to construct more buildings for future tenants.
