Mother’s Refuge, a maternity home for pregnant and parenting moms and their babies, is seeking community members to participate in its Christmas Gifts Sponsorships for current and former residents. As mothers graduate from the program and live on their own, some find they can cover their family’s needs but maybe not all the wants. To keep them from choosing between the electric bill or their kids’ Christmas gifts, Mother’s Refuge is calling on community members to sponsor a mother, family or several families.

Program guidelines are:

• Request that donors spend $150 a person. Mother’s Refuge also accepts gift cards or cash donations, and their team will do the shopping for you.
• Flexibility to sponsor one person, a whole family or multiple families. They have families with only mom and baby up to seven or eight members in a family.
• Consider sponsoring with your friends, coworkers or as a business.
