Pro Deo Youth Center is holding their second annual Farm to Fable Gala on Thursday, Sept. 28 starting at 5:30 p.m. at Lone Summit Ranch located at 28701 East Old US 50 Hwy. in Lake Lotawana.

Enjoy cocktails, dinner and an engaging program hearing from some past Pro Deo teens and parents of teens. They will share stories of their past and how they were able to overcome adversities to become the young adults they are today and the impact Pro Deo had in helping them grow.

The keynote speaker will be Les Norman. Norman grew up without much in life. An abusive childhood could have left him broken, but he used the wrong road map to find the right places. He often heard phrases like, “You’ll never make it.” or “You’re not good enough.” But instead of believing the negative voices, he became driven to achieve success. Norman is the host of a radio show, “Breaking the Norm” and a former MLB player, including playing with the Kansas City Royals. Norman and his family live in Lee’s Summit and will share his story at the gala.
