Raytown High School varsity boys swim team competed in the Missouri State High School Activities Association State Boys Swimming and Diving Championships, Nov. 13-14, 2020 in St. Peters, Missouri. The team placed 13 out of 35 teams in the state competition.

Individual results from the state competition included Ben Gippner earning 10th in the 200 freestyle and 13th in the 500 freestyle; Dylan Searls earning 15th in the 100 fly; Luke Markley earning 22nd in the 50 freestyle; and Kai Hensel earning 23rd in the 200 freestyle.

Relay results from the state competition included the 200 medley relay of Joey Talley, Aaron Acker, Dylan Searls, and Luke Markley placing ninth; the 200 freestyle relay of Luke Markley, Dylan Searls, Jake Talley and Ben Gippner placing 10th; and the 400 freestyle relay team of Ben Gippner, Luke Markley, and Dylan Searls, and Jake Talley placing 12th.

This is the 45th year in a row members of the Raytown High School varsity boys swim team have qualified to compete in the state competition.

The Raytown High School Varsity Boys Swim team had a regular season dual meet record of 13-0 and earned the title of Suburban White Division conference champions for the third year in a row.

The Raytown High School varsity boys swim team is coached by Jim Aziere. Coach Aziere is a member of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, has served as a coach in the Raytown School District for 50 years, and has a record of 547 wins, 88 losses, and 2 ties as head coach of the Raytown High School swim and dive program.
