This Saturday, Dec. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Raytown and Raytown South High School, Evergy will be providing two free LED light bulbs to Raytown residents interested while supplies last. The “Raytown Light Up the Night Campaign” is designed in the interest of added safety for lighting the area in front of your home for extra security while minimizing electricity increases. The event will take place in the parking lots of both high schools.
The program is sponsored by Raytown Mayor Mike McDonough and Evergy and is a low-cost way to help Light Up the Night for safety and security. Raytown Cares will also be providing paper masks for use for household members.
