Last month, Raytown Police Chief Robert Kuehl was invited to present a week-long training session on risk management and organizational change to 100 junior leaders in the Army’s 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (3IBCT) at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
The 3IBCT Commander Col. Rob Shaw sought to bring Kuehl to Hawaii after listening to his lecture at the Army’s School for Command Preparation in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Raytown’s own Chief Kuehl is a noted risk management subject matter expert who has researched and practiced risk management during his more than 35 years of police service. In addition, he has interviewed local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, Fortune 500 executives to collect the industries best practices.
“What I enjoy most about getting to speak to Army units is that it is an opportunity to serve those who serve this country with professionalism, honor, and dignity,” said Kuehl. “And when I am around them, I leave a better leader.”
As a result of the training, the Army published an article on Kuehl’s visit.
