Raytown Police may wear a new badge during the year 2025.
The new badges commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Raytown Police Department, which occurred in 1950. The badge was designed by a committee of department members, with input department-wide. The commemorative badges could voluntarily be purchased by police department members to wear from January 1st to December 31st, 2025, at which time they will be retired.
The commemorative badge design is based on the badge from the department’s early years. The badges will include the member’s identifying number, rank or title, and “1950-2025.” They will have the Missouri state seal and either a silver or gold finish; supervisory-ranked personnel will have a gold finish.
