Mark your calendar for an evening of Remembering Lee’s Summit. On Thursday, Dec. 12 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. the History Museum will host a new event at Bridge Space, located at 210 SW Market Street, behind the History Museum.
Mike Dodig will moderate with guest storytellers Gina Hartnett, Buck Langsford, Laurence Pressly, and Dennis Smith who will share their lifelong memories of Lee’s Summit. Popcorn will be provided. Bring your choice of beverage and enjoy this informal evening Remembering Lee’s Summit. This is a free event, although donations for the museum are gladly accepted.
Santa will also be at the museum the next three Saturdays, December 7, 14 and 21 from 3-5 p.m. Bring the kids and grandkids and snap selfies with Santa. This wonderful holiday tradition is free to the public.
The History Museum is located at 220 SW Main Street in downtown Lee’s Summit. Regular museum hours are Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Members and children 12 and under are free to tour the museum. An admission charge of $5 for all others. During Santa time 3-5 p.m. on December 7, 14 and 21 admission is free to all.
