OATS Transit is currently offering regular transportation services to rural residents of any age. To schedule a ride or to inquire about services available in your area, call the OATS Transit office at 816-380-7433 or 800-480-6287.

The Jackson County schedule is:

City of Grain Valley

  • This transportation is for residents within the city limits of Grain Valley. Trips must be within the city limits of Grain Valley or Blue Springs.
  • Grain Valley service is only open to seniors age 65+ or individuals with disabilities.
  • Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • $2.00 per one-way trip ​

City of Lee’s Summit

  • Any trip within the city limits of Lee’s Summit.
  • Lee’s Summit service is General Public Transportation for anyone of any age in the City Limits.
  • Monday-Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • $3.00 per one-way trip

City of Blue Springs

  • Any trip within the city limits of Blue Springs.
  • Blue Springs service is only open to seniors age 60+ or individuals with disabilities.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • $3.00 per one-way trip

Blue Springs to Vesper Hall

  • Monday through Friday
  • Pickup time: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
  • Delivery time: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Return time: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Blue Springs service is only open to seniors 60+ or individuals with disabilities.
  • There is no fare for this route. Call the Senior Center at 816-228-0181 to ride.

Drivers do not accept payment from riders on the bus. Riders can add funds to their account before riding and each time they ride the fare will be withdrawn. When calling to add funds to your account a minimum amount of $10.00 is required. You can send a personal check, money order, or cashier’s check to the OATS Transit office if you do not want to pay by credit/debit card.

OATS Transit is available to the rural general public of any age, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. Additionally, they contract with various agencies to serve their clients.

Offices will be closed and regular service will not be operating on Thursday, June 19th for the Juneteenth Holiday.
