The Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation (GLSHF) has opened the 2021 Scholarship Cycle to support academic studies leading to a career in a medical or a healthcare discipline.
Local students can apply for health-focused scholarships now.
The GLSHF Scholarship cycle is open from January 1 through March 1, 2021. GLSHF awards scholarships in amounts up to $8,000 that support studies in the following areas: Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Radiology Technology, and Other Allied Healthcare fields. Scholarship applications with all required attachments must be submitted electronically or postmarked no later than March 1, 2021.

Highlights of the requirements include:
- The applicant must have lived in Lee’s Summit for a period of at least five (5) years or have graduated from a Lee’s Summit area high school.
- The applicant must have completed a designated minimum timeframe of studies in his/her chosen healthcare field based on the type of degree pursued.
- Scholarships are awarded for tuition only. Funds will be sent directly to the educational institution prior to the Fall Term, 2021.
- The applicant must have at least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and be a student in good standing.
