The Raytown School District held their Second Annual RQS Day on Thursday, Nov. 14.

Staff, students, community members, and businesses showed their #RQSPride for RQS Day by wearing their favorite red, blue or RQS spiritwear, making posters to hang in windows, offering an ‘RQS Special’ on November 14, decorating cars, or creating a unique RQS sidewalk design.

Additionally, the district held a “Why I Love My School” contest for students in their choice of essay, video or multimedia.

Elementary winners were Jade S., Blue Ridge Elementary, video; Vada L., Fleetridge Elementary, multimedia; and Samanth B., Blue Ridge Elementary, essay

Secondary winners were Harper M., Raytown High School, video; Elsa D., Raytown Central Middle School, multimedia; and Anniese G., Raytown South Middle School, essay. Each winner received a $100 gift card to celebrate their achievement.
