The Southern Jackson County Fire Protection District is having a grand opening and open house for Station 3 located at 1101 SW Wyatt Road in Blue Springs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25.

The days celebrations will include an inaugural flag raising by local Scouts B.S.A. Troop 251 from Lake Lotawana, a message from The Chief, traditional hose uncoupling, and a traditional pushing of the apparatus into the station.

There will be fun and games for the children, apparatus tours, and station tours. Snacks and refreshments will be provided by “Taking it the Streets” and the District.

Come celebrate this monumental day for the Citizens of the Southern Jackson County Fire Protection District and the district’s commitment to continue their growth to provide the highest quality of service for the community.
