Catherine Ward from Summit Technology Academy in the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District earned top honors in a statewide music competition.

The student musician from Lee’s Summit West High School placed first in the Electronic Music Composition contest through the Missouri Music Educators Association for her composition “Raining Sunlight.”
