Summit Christian Academy (SCA) recognizes students who consistently exhibit exceptional Christian character through the Christian Character Award program. The purpose of this award is to encourage students to pursue their potential toward attaining the highest level of personal and academic development as well as Christian character. The achievement of Christian Character at SCA is one of the most prestigious recognitions within the school.

Junior High Christian Character recipients for the second semester are siblings seventh grade student Zachariah Zicari and eighth grade student Makayla Zicari, son and daughter of Sean and Amber Zicari.

Senior High Christian Character recipients for the second semester are seniors Charli Hinton, daughter of Gary and Kristi Hinton, and Michael Ward, son of Keith and Melinda Ward.

SCA Senior Savannah McConnell

In addition, SCA is pleased to recognize a senior who consistently exhibited exceptional Christian character throughout their career at SCA at the 7-12th grade level. This recognition is called Student of the Year and is announced annually at the SCA Secondary Awards Ceremony.

SCA is pleased to announce that senior Savannah McConnell, daughter of Preston and Michelle McConnell, has been named the 2024-25 Student of the Year. Savannah has attended SCA for six years and will study Education and play collegiate soccer at Cedarville University.
