Raytown’s Third Annual Festival of the Trails is Saturday, Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Events are free to attend, but donations will be accepted. Food, beverage and retail items will be available for purchase.
The festival will take place at the Rice-Tremonti Home located at 8801 E. 66th Street in Raytown.
Activities include bake sale (whole pies)/ice cream treats, blacksmithing, Buffalo Soldiers (2 to 3:30 p.m.), craft fair, food trucks/dining tent, periodically scheduled home tours, kids crafts, kids games by Connection Point and the River Church, living historians, Messner Bee Farm, Missouri Free Trappers, Sophie White portrayal (11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), Windy Hollow Historical Band, wool spinning demonstrations, Raytown Area Chamber of Commerce information booth.
The fun continues into the evening at the final show of the Raytown Live concert series at the Greenspace in Town Center in downtown Raytown from 6 to 8 p.m. In addition to a performance by Levee Town, there will be kids games and food and beverage available for purchase.
